Bloom — Neighbourhood Florist Website

A beloved local shop that the internet had left behind.

Bloom had been a neighbourhood staple for eleven years, but its website was nearly unusable on mobile, had no online ordering, and offered no way to browse same-day availability. Walk-in trade was strong, but the owner was losing online customers to chain competitors with polished e-commerce experiences.

Mockup

Keeping the soul of the shop while building it a front door.

Rather than a generic e-commerce template, the site was designed to feel like the shop itself — warm photography, handwritten-style type, and a browsable 'what's in this week' section updated by the owner each Monday. A simple three-step ordering flow and a same-day delivery radius map were added without overwhelming the experience.

Mockup

A small shop that started thinking like a brand.

Online orders went from zero to accounting for 38% of weekly revenue within three months. Bounce rate fell from 81% to 29% as mobile usability improved. The owner now updates the site independently, and same-day delivery bookings fill most Fridays and weekends in advance.
